Police Clearance Certificates

  • A police clearance certificate is an official document issued by the SAPS.

    It states whether any convictions have been recorded against an individual.

    You may need for the purpose of travelling/working abroad.

    Some local employers require it.

  • Applications are done through local police stations. The police will take your fingerprints. You will need to bring your ID or passport copy. They will make copies and pay a fee of R160.

  • Yes you may request the fingerprint form, ID and payment receipt.

    All applications are processed in Pretoria. As agents we will need the above to process your application

  • Our applications take 7~10 working days

  • Yes, we cater to clients who are abroad as well.

    Applicants may take their fingerprints at the SA embassy/consulate abroad, the local police station of that country. The fingerprints may be taken on the fingerprint form of that country. Or the SAPS form, if the offcials of said country will permit it.

    A notary or official fingerprint service may also take the fingerprints.

    The next step is to courier the fingerprints and ID/passport copy to us

  • Yes, CRC can reprint before 3 months. However the must be a valid reason for a reprint otherwise they may decline. After 3 months a new application must be submitted

  • Please send a copy of your marriage certificate with your application

  • When we are handling the applications we use our own contact number. This way we can control the application from the beginning to the end

  • There are a few possible scenarios. If you applied through your local police station it is possible that the application has not reached CRC yet.

    Your application has not been captured yet.

    Worst case scenario; the application has been lost

  • The 1st sms can take up to two weeks

  • This depends on a case by case basis. Please get in touch with us. We will advise

  • A police clearance certificate is valid for 6 months from date of issue

  • For use abroad only the SAPS police clearance certificate is acceptable
